AGEL motivates future healthcare professionals. With professional practice and a favourable scholarship programme

Supporting future doctors, nurses or nursing assistants is crucial for society, which is why this year the AGEL Institute for Education, Science and Research is providing more financial support for the scholarship programme for non-medical disciplines: practical nurses, midwives, radiology assistants, nursing assistants and physiotherapists. "We already want to create meaningful support for students during their studies. Thanks to the scholarship, they can gain important experience, practical skills and the opportunity to undergo a minimum of two weeks of professional practice in AGEL's healthcare facilities in Slovakia. The amount of the monthly scholarship depends on the field of study and also the year of study the student is currently attending. For example, we offer up to EUR 350 per month to students of the 6th year of general or dental medicine," explains Andrej Kováč, PhD, PhD, MPH, Director of the AGEL Educational, Scientific and Research Institute.
AGEL offers a new scholarship of EUR 300 per month to students of the 3rd and 4th year of secondary medical schools in the field of practical nurse - assistant, students of bachelor studies in the fields of nursing, midwifery, emergency health care, radiology technology and physiotherapy. The programme is also available to students of higher vocational studies in the fields of diploma general nurse, diploma radiology assistant and diploma physiotherapist. "The condition for obtaining the scholarship is for all applicants, in addition to completing at least two weeks of work experience at an AGEL medical facility during the academic and school year, to conclude a work contract after graduation for a period equal to the period of the scholarship," concludes Andrej Kováč.
Interested applicants can inquire about the scholarship program by emailing [email protected] or [email protected]. For further additional information about the scholarship and to register, students can visit the AGEL Institute for Education, Science and Research website at https://vavia.agel.sk/stipendijny-program.
"We consider it very important to support students. That is why we try to prepare various programmes to help them develop their skills and gain work experience in Slovakia. In this way, we want to ensure that students stay at home after graduation so that they can pursue their career and contribute to the improvement of the Slovak healthcare system," concluded Andrej Kováč.
AGEL Slovakia thus continues to support medical education and motivate young talents who have decided to dedicate their careers to health care.
